Check-in was quick on a Monday eve 7:30. Waited 3-5 minutes in the lobby to be seen by a nurse. Brief history given to nurse as the doctor walked, which eliminated the need to have to repeat. A quick analysis of the problem, a Doppler study was performed results sent via internet to distant location for analysis. Exit the hospital@ 9:30pm.
I have to get my blood checked a couple times a week. On vacation now in NMB and this is the closest lab. Go in to check in and wait, called in for information , and wait, go to the lab area, and wait. On avg. I'm in there over 45 min every time to just get a small blue tube of blood. This should be a quick in and out - 10 tops. I don't know what they are doing, but they are not doing it efficiently.
This is the sorriest hospital Ive ever went to...... ive been here since 2pm and its now 6:04pm and they have taken about 4 or 5 people back that came after me. Im here to get my leg repacked and someone with an upset stomach is more important....... way to go u POOR of excuse medical facility......i wouldnt recommend this place to a dead person......
I would not recommend this hospital for an emergency. I was here on vacation and had to visit the ER for a kidney stone attack. This was my third time visiting an ER for such, so I was familiar with protocol. I walked (barely) in and told them what was wrong. Instead of listening to me, they treated me with indifference. More concern about paperwork and forms. Out of 3 visits to 3 different ER rooms this was by far the worst experience.
Avoid the ER unit at all costs. I had a severe swollen lip with visible fever blisters. I went to the ER because it was Saturday night and my regular doctor did not have hours until Monday. The ER physician assistant took me off the antibiotic prescribed by my doctor and had me start a viral medication. It turned out that I had a staff infection as well as fever blisters. It was a big mistake to go off the antibiotic. Come Monday, my regular doctor doubled by antibiotic regimen and prescribed me a better viral medication. One word … scary.
This was very fast for an emergency room visit. Nurses came in periodically to inform us that they knew we were here and they had not forgot us. A nice considerate classy touch. Thanks for the excellent care Seacoast hospital.
Signed, Iowa visitor.
